Doug's Reading of MURDER CAN BE FATAL

What a night! Doug's play, MURDER CAN BE FATAL, was a huge success! The Country Playhouse presented Doug's play as part of the New Play Reading Series. Doug's play is a murder mystery set in 1938 and it is hilariously funny and clever. The audience loved it! We were worried about how many people would turn out because it was a rainy, Sunday night during Spring Break and it had hailed earlier in the day but there were over 1oo people there. What an awesome turnout!! Doug was a star and we were all SO proud of him!!

Brunch before Doug's play reading

On Sunday, March 16, 2009, there was a reading of Doug's play, MURDER CAN BE FATAL, at The Country Playhouse. What an exciting event to celebrate!! Earlier in the day, my mom and Doug had a brunch at their house for the family and some friends. Andrew and Debbie drove in that morning with sweet Charlie! Melanie and Harvey were there as was Alice Cook. Doug's friends, Jerry and Delores, drove in from Kansas City especially for the reading. Alice and Bill Cook gave Charlie a beautiful silver bank plane and Jerry and Dee brought Charlie a cute stuffed animal. What amazing friends! We had a lovely lunch and then went our separate ways for the afternoon to rest up for the reading.

Pink eye ... among other things

In March, I got sick AGAIN. It was the 6th time I have been sick since December. This time atleast I didn't have 103 fever but I had a sinus infection, a throat infection probably strep and pink eye in BOTH eyes! Good times!! Here are a few pictures although they don't really do my eyes justice. They looked hideous!

Jennifer's Surprise 40th Birthday Party

A few weeks ago we went to the surprise 40th birthdary party for our dear friend, Jennifer. We had a nice time and it was great to see Doug and Jennifer as well as Jean-Marc and Kris.
